THALAPATHY VIJAY’S UNUSUAL DONATION

The event took place in Udumalpet, where the actor distributed the cows, and said that it would be available for the beneficiaries right from the Diwali. Each of the cow cost about 25,000 to 30,000 rupees and an entire team worked hard to procure these 108 cows.

At the function, Vijay was compared to the legendary King Raja Raja Cholan who was known for distributing cows to his subjects to ensure their welfare. Udumalpet Municipality Chairman said during this function that Vijay had done something that even politicians have not even done.

The cow donation event was organized by Vijay Narpani Mandram with the help of Velayudham’s producer Aascar Ravichandran and Suresh.

AcTOR VIJAY'S MOTHER GETS HONORARY AWARD

Esthel Hotels and Resorts, who identify and felicitate women achievers every year, have bestowed the Honorary Lifetime Achievement Mrs. Chennai award on Shoba Chandrashekar for the year 2010. Shoba Chandrahsekar, mother of actor Vijay, is a renowned singer, writer and producer. In spite of all this, she does not have an ounce of ego which is applaudable". The function was attended by RK Selvamani, Shobana Ramesh and Chairman Xavier Britto.

AN INFURIATED VIJAY ADVOCATES DEATH SENTENCE

The news that created the headlines in many leading dailies in the Tamil Nadu about young Hrithik Jain and Muskan being brutally murdered after being kidnapped for ransom has infuriated the public. Film star Vijay, who was shooting for the film Kaavalan, has said that when he heard the news about their brutal murders, he was angry at the accused, Mohan, and sought death sentence on the perpetrator of this crime.

Vijay, in a statement, has said that loss suffered by the deceased’s parents is irreparable and only the almighty should give them the strength to cope with it.

The actor also sought capital punishment for such heinous crimes so that innocent lives can be saved.

He added that this message is not an effect of him enjoying the star status or a concerned father but that of crores of people who have been angered by these murders.
